Timing belt change and have some questions

Ok so I have already completed removing and installing the timing belt/water pump. However I noticed something I was not sure of.
What I noticed was that when everything is at cyl 1 TDC, I rotate the crankpulley 2 full rotations to get the camshaft pulley to be at cyl 1 TDC. Is that right? I thought it was 1 full rotation of crankpulley to get 1 full rotation of camshaft pulley.

I measured the pulley sizes and it is a 2:1 ratio which makes sense why it is doing that but something tells me this is not right.

Yes, that is correct.

Crankshaft goes through 2 rotations to complete engine cycle (intake-compression-power-exhaust). Intake and exhaust valves must be actuated in coordination.

Yeah, In a 4 cycle engine, the crankshaft rotates completely two times for each cycle, in a 2-cycle engine it's one rotation for each cycle.
