Slamming Wipers

Ok, so while in the rain, and using my wipers they seem to slam against the cowl. So I adjusted them up a bit and now they slam against the A pillar at highway speeds and slam against the cowl at city speeds. Is there any adjusting the play out of these guys, or is my wiper motor too tired to perform properly?

If any one has any ideas that would be great.

Thanks,
Mike

Are the wiper blades the proper size? I had the same issue.

x2, make sure they're factory length first.

I have the same problem. I am using pretty heavy wiper blades, and I think that plays a part in the slapping. But my wiper arms seem to have a lot of play when I move them by hand. I assume that some bushings have worn out

there are stoppers in the mechanism that get worn out. I think you can replace them.

Factory length wiper blades. I need to find these stoppers to see if there is such an animal. That would be awesome if I could replace those.

TexasHonda any thoughts?

Friend of mine who works at Honda in the parts department and he said that it is the arms that connects the motor to the arm itself. I guess there are some bushings that get worn out, so I guess I will be replacing those to see what happens.
