Turn keyswitch On, and press Auto & OFF buttons at the same time. The display will present a fault in code. There are previous posts on the code interpretation if you do a search on "climate control" or similar. You could look for posts under my name also and find the correct post.

good luck

No, if engine is running cold there won't be a code stored. You can't make hot air w/o some hot coolant to circulate.

good luck

I tried to get a code as you suggest but nothing appears.
Today I left my car idle for less then 5 minutes and when I got home there was steam coming out of the container where it should overflow and it was bubbling in it.
I tried something else, I speed the motor at 2500 rpm and hot air started to come in????????as soon as I got back to idle it turned again to cold air.

Your car is low on coolant and may have a bad cylinder head gasket. Any recent overheating incidents? Get some coolant or coolant mix and make sure the system is full of coolant by slowly (very slowly w/ stops to allow air to escape) filling through the radiator w/ engine cold.

W/ engine and coolant cold restart car w/ radiator cap off and look for bubbles in coolant or a sudden coolant overflow from the radiator. If yes, a bad head gasket is very likely.

It could be you're just low on coolant and have a coolant leak somewhere (bad hose, bad water pump, etc).

good luck
