no interior fan when you turn it on?
check the fuses first!
then check the conneter for the fan motor- I am gen2, and ours get overheated and melt!
There is also a resistor for the blower motor.

on gen2- so may be same for you- remove glovebox door and glovebox (see gen2 diy Cabin air filter) and the blower motor is down there- the heater and ac next to it
a few bolts hold it in and the resistor is on the back- the connector usually on the front

I am having the same problem. If you set the ac to get air from outside (not recirculate) and set it to cold, when you drive over 50mph you can feel the ice cold air blowing through the ac system. This tells me that the AC is working fine but the ac's fan/blower is not working at all. lAlso once in a while if I have the ac on but there is no air comming out and I drive over a speed bump, it will loosen up the fan and it will start blowing for a while untilll I turn it off again. It sounds like its is maybe worn out bearings in the blower motor assembly. Any one know where this fan is at on a first gen TL and how to replace it????

Kick panel near your left foot... turn the little knob and view the fuse diagram... use a fuse tester or a multimeter to test continuity of the fuses in that box...

if the fan comes on but no air flows- you likely have a door control problem
The control for the position of what vents are open-- to allow air from/to different points

A control cable or a main door near the blower must be stuck
Start at the blower motor and search from there- you could blow compressed air thru the system to see where it stops

check the motor for free spinning of fan and the electrical connection for its power and the resistor for the motor

Im guessing based on what happens to gen2s

I had the same problem on my old 1st gen. My system just cut out one day while I was making a left turn, and a few months later when my dad's mechanic was changing the spark plugs I asked him to help me diagnose the problem, and he told me that the A/C was blowing ice cold air and worked fine and until this day it worked fine.
