Help a girl with her 97 tl problems pleasssssseee
Ok i posted yesterday n no one helped but ill try againi have a 96 tl with the 2.5 the guy i bought it from saaid it had cat problems....well we cut it and welded a straight pipe just to diagnose if this was the issue but it still has issues.....ran perfect once burnin tires with great acceleration...now she bogs out bad when tryimg to accelerate....thinking it could be a distributer problem please anyone throw me some ideas so i can try them n at least weed them out.....please help this little honda loving girl

That could be your problem. What did you do about the oxygen sensors?? Even if you hooked them up somehow, without the cat they wouldn't read what they're supposed to be reading.

Nothing changed.....still same as before it was cut. Im pretty much on my own with is car, and im on a mojor time crunch. I put my lexus up for sale for this acura. I have faith in her but need help. I will do anything i just need a lil direction. It seems plugs wires n such were changed but nothing done with the ddistributer. Throw me ideas. Ill try anything. Ill keep posted on how and if they work.theres no one in my area who seems to have a clue so im begging at this point lol thanks

Ive ran it for around 15 mins and it never changed.....thr 2nd time i drove it after getting it a few days ago she ran amazing quick smooth perfect.....then parked for a few hrs and started bogging out again. But if u accelerate slow it basically works fine...i had a 92 civic that did this same thing but sold it before trying to fix it. Im grasping at straws. Also dunno if it matters but the abs and check engine lights are on. Thank u all for ur help it meas the world to me lets get this acura back rollin again

Replacing a problematic cat with a straight pipe is like replacing a burnt out bulb with nothing at all. Stop worrying about the distributor, if you don't do anything about the O2 sensors you're always going to have problems.
