no gasket on the red part. yes the orings are the one that need replacing. you have to take out the metal ring that has the two orings. here is a link of what it look like.

It does appear that the distributor in my left hand (and a knob creek ginger in my right) does not have a removable, two seal shaft... It (under close inspection) does seem to be a solid milled piece of aluminum as part of thebody that Does take one shaft seal, but not two in the 97 TL as opposed to the vigor... Design change? Question being, my Distributor is leaking outside the seal (seal issue) But also is leaking Inside the shaft on the cap side. Question... Is there a secondary seal inside the cap? Am I not looking at this correctly? Lookes up the actual bearing recommendation on bearingdepot.comand no listing.

Dealer stated if the dist is leaking inside the cap to replace it... Obviously thisis a dealer and a $450 fix.

Advice?

hmm i recently found on another website that that rind on the inside is removable mine however is not. yours for whatever reason leaks on the inside i could not tell you why mine does not leak on the inside of the distributor.

on another not i had replaced everything from the o ring to the valve cover gasket set and i still seem to be getting oil being burnt? is that just the excess oil being burned off? still trying to locate the burning oil it is coming from the area of the distributor. waiting to cool before dissassemble again.

R/R the distrib assy- most likely your bearing is shot also along with the rotor arm shaft seal. Look at PEP BOYs for the best deal- Just r/r'd this myself for just over $200. Got the distrib for 165.00 and the oem cap & rotor/seals @ acurapartsworld for 40.00 Took about 3 hrs total (never did job before- take your time to do it right)
