burning oil?

when i start up my car a puff of blue smoke comes out. when i got the car inspected when it had its timing belt done a few months back, there was no report of oil leakage. now im annoyed. what could this be or is it anything to worry about? it just started last week and this is only the second time ive noticed.

Unlike the other post on oil consumption, this is typically related to valve stems - oil leaking by after you turn the sucker off, and let it sit overnight. Not a real big deal if it is small. I'm not sure if these guys have valve stem seals - if so, it is a real easy fix.

Otherwise, yank the heads and have a valve job done - not a real big deal.

My brother had similar problems on his Saab 95 turbo - His problem was sludge buildup in the pickup tube in the oil pan.
