window tinting!!

ok so i got my windows tinted about a month or so ago, 35 % on front window, 25% on rear and 15% on back window. Anyway on the back window the tint is not sticking to the heat matrix and it does not look very pretty. The tint guy assures me this is normal and that it just simply wont stick. I would appreciate some advise and possible pics of fellow 1st gen tlers tint on back window.

This is tint on the upper window right? I only got my tints up till the dots and left it at that. There was an option to spray the upper part black. I might get it done sometime down the road. So maybe you can just strip that area and have them spray it black.

Mine is doing that too. I think I am gonna remove that upper section of tint and put a piece of black vinyl in its place. Looks like crap the way it is

you could always sand off the dot matrix........but have u slide ur hand over it to make it stick? the solution that is used to stick to the window needs some time to settle into the dot matrix.....but this happens with all dot matrix's its just something u have to deal with

READ THIS:::: I have 5% tints all the way around... the part at the top looks like crap if you tint it.... it will bubble up, turn white, etc...... THE ONLY FIX, is to go to a decal shop, or car audio/performance place (if your tinting place cant do it) And get a vinyl decal made to fit perfectly over those dots... looks BA and fills in the that ugly little spot

DONT sand the dot matrix, it will scratch your window and look like crap... vinyl black decal is your best bet... they can even simulate the 35% and make it see through!!!

Damn 5% is limo tint. I had 15% on my TL, which is pretty dark.

Yeah its pretty dark, you cannot see in unless you put your face right up to the glass... pulling out of places at night is a bitch, but for what its worth I like it... Gives me a feeling of privacy

Damn the place that I got my tintin done doesn't even have 15%..I'll be damn happy if I get it to be that dark. I paid $240 for all 5 windows. 2 front, 2 back and back windshield. I've always wanted to tint the front windshield maybe like 75% or something that way it's complete darkness, no street light can shine right through (well darker than without the tint)
