what do you think of this idea

i know that we can't have strut bars in out cars.....we can install em, but get close the damn hood after installation.

i'm thinking about getting a cowl hood so that i can fit a strut bar in my 3.2 98..

sorry, i don't mean like a cowl hood, but a custom fabricated hood just raised enough to fit the strut bar.

i also think that it would make my TL alot meaner looking too.

Cowl hoods look good on:

Mustangs
Camaros
Trans Ams
Monte Carlo SS

but NOT on Luxury cars.

Just my opinion.

haha hell, we should all get the strut bars and cut a nice little hole on our hoods. And on top of that we can put an air scoop right there!!!! haha can you sense my sarcasm?

it could look ok if it was very subtle and not necessarilly a cowl look. I think I remember Audi and BMW both having small power bulges at one time or another.

i kinda like the idea of a cowl (or scooped) hood. but not necessarily for the purpose of adding a tower bar, but rather for performance. i.e. intake or cooling (turbo?) heh.

but if you look closely, there seems to be a way of routing a series of bars to add strength to the front end. it may not look pretty, but i think it possible......aloha......
