VIG engine swap

OK, I know a VIg is not a real TL, but its similar to the 2.5. Does anybody know how difficult it would be to swap a Legend V-6 into it? I've heard of people doing it, but I don;t want to buy a whole lod of parts only to find out I'm going to have to replace my entire front clip.
Thanks in Advance

Sean

A Legend V6 into a Vigor?

You'll need new engine mounts, might have to cut/fabricate a few things and even then I can't guarantee it'll fit properly.

WAYY different dude. TRUST me, I'm putting a Legend Type II motor in my TL right now and even THAT is becoming a pain in the butt..... Putting a 3.2 TL or Legend V6 into a Vigour wouldn't be an easy task. I'm not asying it couldn't be done, but it's gonna end up costing you a lot and if you don't have someone doing it who is into that kind of motor swaps and thing on a regular basis, it will end up being the death of you and your car dude. All that aside, it's this kind of stuff that makes one in a million cars from your every day automobile out there. SO I'm not trying to discourage you, just making sure you understand ALL that will be involved.

its corn stated, its not going to fit. hes having trouble fitting a v6 legend into his 3.2. You can try but there is going to be a lot of fabrication. your probably better off converting to a manual transmission if its not already manual?

J, not flaming you here, just wanted to clear up that in my case it's not a problem of fitting, just all the little things I have to buy due to the install and the head gasket and porting job. However in the 2.5 case, yes fitting the engine WOULD be the biggest concern. I'm just saying that even when the engine is supposed to "bolt right up" there's soo many things you should or end up wanting to do while you are in the process that it adds up REALLY quickly. Mine went from an original estimate of about $2500 to close to 4 g's, that's a pretty big change. Mind you I am gonna end up changing almost EVERY possible gasket and 90% of the cooling system, so that is a big part of it but again, that wasn't part of the original plan.

Ok, well does anybody know the dimensions if the C32 motor? (Length width, height) that'll at least give me an idea if it'll fit in the car without cuting the clip apart.

I think you should just buy a 3.2TL. It comes with the Legend motor...

If you put Vigor labels in the rear, nobody would ever know.

Hahah..that's jokes....but true, probably easier and plus you'll get a few nicer ameninties with the "newer" TL. than you would have for the Vigor. you could probably trade up to a TL for about the same as it would cost for the engine swap, proabbly less really.

The Vigor GS has some nice things going for it..

Such as REAL wood, optional 5 speed manual and a sound system just like the TL's but with a DSP (digital signal processor) that lets you modify echo effects and such.

Really? I didn't realize the vigor was real wood. The stereo means nothing, as I haven't kept the stock stereo in a car I've owned EVER for more than a week...lol The manual gearbox would be nice, but I doubt you'd ever get that to work with a C32A anyways.... If anything you'd have to go to a Legend 5 or 6 spd.
