Trying to generate interest for Tail light Tint!
If any of you keep up with the 1st gen CLs or 2nd and 3rd gen TL and RLs, you know they have a smoke taillight film available for them which darkerns or tints the lights(back).
I have contacted RockBlocker to see if they would develop the same kit for our cars.
They need to see at least 8 to 10 people interested in buying the kits and a set of tailights to cut the direct fit pattern with. I have the tails since I bought some inspires.
You can use VHT nightshades to tint your tails but IMO the smoke film looks better. It can be taken off if you do not like it and is much more durable.
They offer it in percentages, similiar to window tint. The difference, is the higher percentage, the darker it is. 35 percent is darker than 20 percent.
Here are a few pictures since they usually speak louder than words.
Their kits are already cut to fit directly on the application they would be used for. No trimming required. Priced reasonable imo as well.
First is a link to their website

The 1st gen CL kits they just released are around 50 dollars shipped. I Hope RockBlocker chimes in to say anything I left out.
Thanks for the time
Sean

Safety Car
The pic of the 3rd gen TL looked nice. Seems like it would work well with silver. But it also looks like you need Inspire tails for it to look good. It looks bad on a black car.
I have a black car. So I can't help you there.

I actually think it looks pretty cool on a black car... Makes it look smooth all around and clean... On a white car... it makes it stand out more... since there isn't the color red to steal from the car... looks nice IMHO...
I like that white CL... looks like blacked out emblems too... matches good...
BUT HOW MUCH WOULD IT BE!!!

I do agree it would look best with inspire tails.
I also would not get the 35%(Darkest).
I would go for the 20, which makes them more dark red(ruby).
Their CL kit is around 50 dollars.
Not saying you should all love it, was just throwing it out there, to try and get whatever we can as far as aftermarket goes for our 1st gens.

I'm happy to see at least a few of you like the idea.
It all depends on what you are going after for your car.
Personally, I think the tint would look GREAT on J-Spec TL's car.
