Shift Knobs And Pedals!!!

I have a 96 TL for those who don't know and I was wondering if it is possible to replace the stock pedals and shift knob with aftermarket ones?

I dont know too much about the shift knob, but I definitley know you can change out the pedals, some aftermarket pedals you bolt right on to the originals as well, but I am sure you dont want to be that ricey.

They do make a nice woodgrain shifter that has little acura symbol on it. I am buying it soon. Pedals dont think they make aftermarker ones.

actually, i think knobs are universal (not too sure) but our knobs are screw ons so i think you can get any knob and just use it. it has to be from cars that are manual...not auto because most automatic shift handles are diff... am i making any sense?? lol okay nevermind

ok thanx, my other question was how do I remove them? I tried looking at the pedals and I tried unscrewing the shifter knob by twisting it but it wouldn't come off...can anybody help? Thanx again.

To remove the shift knob just turn it counter-clockwise (like TLBaller said). You need to get a shift knob for a manual car since TLs dont have a button on the shifter like most automatics. The pedals do not come off by the way. There are alot of universal aftermarket pedals you can get though. They just screw over the factory ones. No modification whatsoever. I used to have a silver set but I hated them. They feel very bulky and depending on the shoes your wearing your feet slide. I took them off after a while and threw them away. Its up to you though.
