If you haven't taken the speaker cover out then how did you take the screws out. If you are replacing the factory speakers then there is a foam piece underneath it that will stick the speaker to the metal. Just take a knife under the speaker to loosen it up then it should come right out.

To remove the factory sound deadening, use dry ice and a chisel. It takes time.

It's probably what he meant. I wouldn't stick DynaMat over factory deadening.

Rear speaker covers are held on by 3 bolts. You can access them from the trunk. I had to lay on my back and have my feet hanging out of the trunk. My neighbors laughed at me

After you take the covers off the speakers are held on by 4 screws each. Access that from the back seat, underneath the covers you removed.

Getting into the trunk was not as easy...when I put in my subwoofer 9 years ago, nothing to it. When I went in and re-wired my ground tap, sheeettt, I am old! I had all sorts of back ache and sheet! I am old...just to get in and out took my breath away, specially the getting off...I had to ask for somebody's help! What a wooze!

^ People call things differently. If you can't take out the trunk liner, you shouldn't be messing with cars.
