Hopefully someone here can chime in on the difference between these, and the ones that REV-01 (?) sells, and a few members bought.

I'd love to pick up a set, but right now it really isn't in my budget. College starts soon and I need books and stuff, and I just got done paying for the carputer and new brakes.

Where do you have those switches installed? The kill switches. I need to make a switch on the IGN line of the carputer, and I'm not sure where I want to put it.

I'm wondering the same thing... but IMHO, they look retarded. More so than neon lights.

 

I liked them before, but never was able to find a place to buy them. When I saw them come again, and found a place to buy them, I would really like to.

I think they would look weird driving around with them on all of the time, but if I set them up on my car, I would wire them in with the doors, so they would come on when the door was opened, like the lights in the door.

 

yeah i feel ya.. but juss the sides tho... i dont like 'em in the front and back...

 

Yeah, the front and back are pointless, if I get a set, I really want them to be set up as puddle lights.

 

well, the set rev sells brings 5 leds and 5 puddles lights for each side. the ebay one is only 4 which is not enough IMO. it's completely water proof and has double sided tape to mount as well as screws... so you know they arent falling off... ever.

you can also set them to blink to the beat of the music or have them on constantly.

I've known about these for a loooong ass time... Thing is, they were about $300 when they first came out and were only available from companies in japan.

 

I feel ya Ive wanted the VALUE ones for about 2 years now but I also converted yen to dollars and it was like 400 without shipping etc. sooooooo they were kinda out for the time but when i saw them alot cheaper i jumped on um.

after i saw jspec's thread i noticed that super autobacs here started selling it..

 

I had seem them on a mercedes a while back and fell in love with the way it looked. He was driving around with them and it looked bad ass!! I never found them so gave up on them and since Im not pro actively fixing up my car anymore since technically speaking it is my wifes now. But once I saw the price they were selling for I said F#$@*k it!

no problem.... there is no hurry and I dont think too many people on the first gen are too interested. i would put them in the black market section, but i would rather have them go to a first genner. then if not one can after a while then ill post it there.

i already picked up a cheaper quality set of puddle lamps... i was going to put them on the first gen but i have stock sideskirts which doesn't have much room to house the lamps on the inside... so instead, i will be installing them on my 3rd gen...

so now who will be the first gen to have puddle lamps??? unfortunately it won't be me...
