My TL has 206k.
I found another Instrument Cluster that has lower milage on it, if I switch it out, is there gonna be ay issue with the on ODB or anything else? Do I need to watch out for any issue.
I know how to switch out the Cluster because I change out a D4 bulb one time.

 

no you wont but you will have problems with when they log your mileage in for inspection

 

u can just tell them the speedometer is replaced.. just as long as u keep track of the actual mileage

 

why do you want to change your cluster? just to get a false image of lower mileage on your car or because something is wrong with your current one?

 

nothing is wrong with it, I guess I would not change it.
I just thought that it would look cool with such low milage showing in the cluster.

 

my roommate has a 79 corolla. the odometer only has 5 digits, so everytime he hits 100,000 it rolls over to 0 hes about to hit another 100,000 so it'll kinda look like his car is brand new when hes really got like close to 400,000 on it

 

when you get ready to sell, a buyer may check Carfax and note a change in mileage from inspection station reports. This could discount your car value unless you have a good paper trail to explain events. I think some states require filing of a new mileage when gauges are replaced.
