New car!
So this friday at work, a customer approached me and asked if I knew anyone looking for a project car. Of course I said that I was. He told me he just wanted it out of his garage.
So today I took the tow dolly to his house to check it out. It is a, don't judge me, 1991 Plymouth Laser RS. The part that won me over was "free" and "has title"
Its in pretty decent shape, for a laser. It has the 2.0 non turbo. The motor in it was seized, but it came with a good replacement.
I've never messed with any of these kind of cars, and I never wanted to be one of those "eclipse/talon/laser kids"
I am just a little excited for a new challenge, and thought I would let you all know.
Wish me luck...please!

Looks in good condition and for the price of free, can't beat that and it came with parts. Thats even better.
Progress looks good so far. Good luck with the project.
I had a '93 Honda Civic hatch which I bought 4 years ago for $1k. Put like 40k miles on it and then blew head gasket. Pulled in apart in garage, fixed in a week (my first "big" job). Sold it for $1300.

Update
The motor the guy had bought for it was bad. Don't trust the junk yards... it had skipped three teeth in the timing belt, and bent ALL the intake valves. Now, after two weeks, the head has new intake valves, and its finally back in the car. We had a chance to crank it, but there is no spark. On to the next mission! All in good time. This stupid car WILL run. And I WILL sell it!
