well some light bulbs are higher wattage than what our wiring can handle. i say if you want to get new lights, go with reputable companies like PIAA. if you wanted to upgrade to a higher wattage, then i suggest you to change your wiring just to be safe. Also realize that higher wattage bulbs give off more heat and therefore may melt the housings. i have a set of PIAA platinum superwhites and they have a blueish tint to them. do a quick search on ebay to get them cheaper. hope this helps.

I need an explanation on lights. Will some lights burn your car wiring? I know nothing about lights, wattage, brightness, etc. Please educate me. I want some nice bright bulbs with a blue tint to it.

Question

thanks. Do you know what the wattage is for
the 97 2.5? And what is the safest wattage I could use without burning the wiring or melting the housing.

Acura recommends 55 watt bulbs but you can go a little higher. 85 watt should be fine. I was running 100 watt bulbs for a few months before I got HIDs but I dont know if you want to risk it.

i would stick with PIAA's sure there are other bulbs out there that are cheaper, but they won't last as long.
