Inspire Tails

Found two Inspire tail light auctions on eBay.

The first is from Japan. The other seems to be from a Forum member.

First auction

Second auction

Points! Just kidding. But I won't complain if you do...

I know... I'm gonna TRY to do my own this summer, will get those gaskets that are available and attempt to separate the lens and take out the orange. Gotta get my headlights blakced out too...just been soo damned buzy!!! one the new motor and the springs are in though, I think I'll have some fresh inspiration to finish things off.

that's a big 10-4. they'd be nice to have, but several dollars for a bit of orange gone just isn't worth it.

and can i just say that the black/white tile floor in those pics of second auction is

if anyone finds a good way to mod the ones we have with new gaskets, etc. please post the 'how-to' and pics if you can. thanks!

if you take off the orange, its gonna look clear and you will be able to see the bulbs directly. it looks bad...an member here did it before and it looked kinda retarded.

i wouldnt use spraypaint for the following reasons, it has a dull look to it and for whatever reason you wanna go back to stock, you cant... its perminent! back in the days when i made my tails all red, i used that vinyl sticker material. you can pretty much get it at any graphics store. someone in the 2nd gen has pics of this and it looks much better due to that it has a shine to it to match the rest of the taillight and its removeable.

I will be replacing the orange with plastic from a flourescent lighting panel. Should work just about perfect I think.

That actually looks pretty good! I still think I can make the home-made JDM's look good though.

is it possible to spray a clear coat on that spray paint to make it shiny? i've never tried but it sounds logical. then again, would that even make sense with spray paint stuff? hmmm...anyone?

you can spray a clear coat over it as a fast remedy to the situation but i dunno how long it will last due to the suns harmful uv rays but if you guys deceide to go the spray paint way, good luck!
