how tall is everybody?

I ask this because I'm starting to think that our car was designed for short people because the steering wheel is so close to the pedals.. I dunno anybody else dissatisfied with the way the "cockpit" is oriented? I just hate it and its pushing me to the point where I am getting fed up with the car..

well I wasn't really talking about the whole car just the drivers seat steering wheel and pedals.. I've noticed that if I'm close enough to the steering wheel I'm to close to the pedals but if I'm the right distance from the pedals I'm to far away from the steering wheel. and the foot rest all the way on the left is like 4 inches behind the other to pedals ?????

theres nothing wrong with being short.. that just means your more aerodynamic haha but yeah doesn't anybody agree with me? I mean I seriously think that the person who designed this car was an idiot.. I mean its the most awesome looking car I've ever seen (ok its up on the list its not the most) but I amd seriously more confortable in the back seat (assuming theres room) then I am in the front seat

hmmm... I guess being the shortest one in this thread, I hadn't noticed the "uncomfortable" distance between the pedals & the steering wheel. Anyways, usually, more often than not, my driving position is closer to an "upright" position, I'd say about 75 degrees. My brother & brother-in-law like to have a more "reclined" position while driving.
Maybe you should be asking what are people's sleeve (for shirts) length, as your arms may be too long? (just kidding!)

lol!

5'10", and it's never been a problem for me... Backseat room also isn't a problem, especially if you're on a date . Plenty of room for that! Try doing _that_ in a sunfire (like youi'd get a date in the first place ).

Oopsie! Maybe 75 degrees doesn't sound very correct, huh? (Guess I'm forgetting my geometry). Ok, picture a clock and the numbers 9 and 3 being the floor / horizon, then my sitting positon is more like 9:05 (am or pm, your preference! ). Not "extremelly" reclined, but not entirelly upright either.

I'm 6'2". I don't have a problem. Some people are under the misconception that you legs and arms should be straight. Your elbows and knees should be bent. When you foot is on the brake pedal, your knee should be slighlty bent when the pedal is all the way down.

5'8, and I drive with the seat almost all the way back.....It's taken me a while to figure out where the seat and steering wheel are comfortable.

actually I thought about it and it really wouldn't be designed for short people but for people with short legs

Short legs? Perphaps, but I think it's more to the way you are used to in your driving position, which sounds like you are more comfortable having your arms "extended" out towards the steering wheel.
