Run the RCA cables under the passenger seat to the trunk, not on the side of the car. RCA cables shouldn’t be close to any power wires. I did mine this way and my system is silent. Don’t use cheap ass RCA’s either.

Yup. I ran mine the same way you did and I had noise also. I then tested it by hooking up a new RCA to the radio and just plugging it into my amp. I didnt run it under anything yet, I just left it on the seats. Zero noise. So then I realized the RCAs must’ve been next to a power wire. All my stereo power wires where on the other side of the car so it was a factory wire somewhere. I ran the power wires on the drivers side because thats where I routed them in from the factory gromet. Anyway, you don’t have to take the rugs off. If you take the door sill off you can pull up the rug. You can also pull it up from under the dash area. I assume this is all on the passenger side right? If you’re having trouble you can always tape the RCA to a metal wire hangar and use it as a snake. I have long arms so I managed to do it without anything.

As far as recommending stuff, if you plan on getting a serious system I would swap the factory headunit with a nice aftermarket unit. What kind of amp do u have for the highs? Any subs?

yeah get good rca wires. i ran mine from the head unit, down the middle to the emergency brake and then diagonal to the back of the trunk (all under carpet) sounds fine. if the rca wires are close to a power wire, you'll get engine noise...which is this buzzing sound thats really annoying. good luck

well I'm looking at alpine type r or kenwood excelon
but right now is to many choices
like rockford it looks good but I haven't tried
or kicker amps
how about polk momo for subs
or infinity kappa
and the head unit I heard that there's not kit for our cars
and I want something that looks good you know what I mean

so here is what I was thinking whith out any makes yet

I already have infinity's component systems on the front doors
and I want to replace the rear 6 x 9 for a 6 1/2 component systems also
a 4 channel amplifier o run front and rear speakers
and a mono amplifier for 2 or3 10's in the trunk ooh and for the head unit
I don't know if will fit a dd head unit from pioneer or kenwood
or a motorized cd player and below that an equalizer
I want to do it before the sumer ends
thanks guys

A double din headunit will fit perfectly. I have 2 single DINs in my car. You can use the Honda Accord Single DIN kit if you want. I used to have it and it worked ok. For amps it all depends on how much money you want to spend. Rockford is good, Phoenix Gold is good, Zapco is good, Pioneer Premier is good, Alpine V12s are good, JLs are good (mono). Those are just some names for you to research if you want. Rockford will probably be the cheapest out of those depending on what amount of power you'll need. For subs you can never go wrong with JLs. With highs you can never go wrong with Focals.

19's is the biggest you can go with a high offset. That leaves only expensive wheels. If you rub slightly in the back a slight drop might help because you’ll have some negative camber. I’m riding on stock springs and I rub with people in the back with 18's, 45 offset, 225/40 offset. The ride is a little worse with 18's, not too bad, but not as good as stock. It doesn’t bother me that much. Watching for bad potholes is more annoying than that.

BTW, a 3.2 requires a higher offset. I think the lowest you can go on a 3.2 is 45 and and on a 2.5 its 40. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

2.5 =+42 offset is prob the max you can go..

so what setup are you using morph?? whatever you do, dont get a box. its just too big and bulky! but if your just plain broke after buying the audio parts...then a box is fine. heres a pic of my box... its ghetto but it hits. oh wait...i can't post pics here..sorry!

Thanks for the correction TLBaller.

morph, get 6-1/2's in the front doors or get custom kickpanels and 6x9's in the rear deck.
