Help!!

there was smoke coming out of my engine, the temperature meter jumped to H and when i looked at the engine there was greenish fluid on the passenger side of the engine. so if u were standing infron of the car itll b to your left. any idea what happened? that stuff isnt oil leaking is it? i didnt have time to take it to the garage yet prob monday, so is it ok to drive the or not?

That green stuff is antifreeze from the cooling system. I wouldnt drive it until you get it fixed unless you want to take the risk of overheating the engine and causing more damage.

Hopefully it's as simple as replacing some worn tubing. But definitely don't drive it until you aren't leaking serious amounts of antifreeze

so i put in some antifreeze but now the engine temp isnt going to the middle, its staying closer to C.

Keep an eye on it to see if there's anymore antifreeze coming out of anywhere. You might have a small radiator crack like i did months ago or your radiator hose has a cut in it somewhere. Get it check ASAP.

so its a bad radiator, its going to be $400. is that resonable?

an after market rad will run about $140.00 to $175.00.
If you let a shop install it, it should not be more than $100.00

really? its a new on ,its coming from another city. and yea the shop is installing it. is $400 still too much?

a decent aftermarket radiator should not cost more than $200. installing it on our car is not that difficult either as i have done mines myself. installation should not cost that much...

$140 cost for me for a brand new one, I installed it myself in a total of 20 minutes including water fill. Unlike someone else on the boards who paid $150 for it to be installed...
