Hello, new to the forums, question about shift knob

Hey everyone, recently discovered this awesome forum and i've got a 96 3.2 tl and I was wondering if there are any wood-themed shift knobs that fit this car. Lol all the ones i came across are for manual transmissions.

Welcome to the forums!
& as for your question there is a wood shift knob available. I think for us it comes down to getting one off the RL. There might be more options if someone else can chime in.

P.S. post pics if you can

There were wood shiftknobs for the 1st gen TL from Acura. Also, any shiftknob from the '96 - '04 RL will fit.

Welcome

hey thanks, both your responses were pretty helpful. My buddy told me that the knob from an RL would work, but never specified the year, So yeah I will be looking into that. Hopefully they just fit right in, since i do not want to do any mods. The shift knobs at autozone o'reilly just weren't cutting it for me lol. Thanks!

Alright so i guess the part number for this 2000 rl burlwood shift knob is 08U92SZ3200F, and damn the price is like $89. LOL it sure looks nice though, much better than the ordinary and plain black leather stock knob , just contemplating if i should get it. I provided a link below to get people's opinions to see if this is the right one that would fit the 96 tl. Thanks boys and girls!

I have a wood shift knob from an MDX, forgot the year. I posted a picture. It almost matches the TL's wood.

Hey mandy, i will keep that in mind since i'm still compiling a list of wants for this car lol. I definitely want a shift knob, but then I saw those jdm taillights which look pretty gnarly. So yeah, i will most definitely keep shopping around. My car actually runs really good considering its at 200k miles and is not in bad shape, just want to replace a few things like a shift knob and possibly head/taillights. The only downside really is that the ABS light keeps popping up every now and then which is starting to bother me lol. Thanks to everyone who commented and helped me out on this thread! wish i discovered this forum 2 years ago when i got this car!

There's a few DIY's on the TL.

Most of which I have done, if not all:

Fogs on with park lights
Mesh on the air dam
Removing the yellow condoms
Inspire tails
Side repeaters/markers
D4 light out repair
Door handle repair
Clear front corners
MDX/RL Shift Knob

Hey ken, I hope it works, i've got a 96 3.2, but all the sites say it fits 97-99 tl's. is there a difference in the shifter's screw among the 96 and other tl's?

I got a knob from an mdx, and I had to re-thread it. It looks nice, and hasa little chrome acura symbol on it.

96 - 98 are all the same. 99 - 03 is a different car.

We use manual shift knobs... I've had three different wood shifts and one crystal, all for manual cars.

~Cheers~
