Heater Hose Replacement

Well I have had a tough time with the cooling system recently.. I had to replace the upper radiator hose (which I did myself easily) since it was cracked. Then my radiator had a crack on the front end which I paid for since I was lazy and now it looks like I have a crack in one of the heater hoses.

Acura wants 8 hours of labor to replace a $30 hose. Can someone help me figure out how to replace this hose or how much it should cost to fix at somewhere other than Acura?

Thanks.

sorry, but they arent pulling your leg.
There are two sets of heater hoses, one in the engine bay that you can get to in about 5 minutes. The other is under the dash and requires removal of the dash to access the hoses. are you sure it is the heater hose and not a cracked heater core?

I am pretty sure it is the heater hose. The first picture shows the top of my engine. For perspective I showed a zoomed out pic so you can see the yellow dipstick in comparison to the hose that is cracked. I circled the cracked piece.

I know it might cost a pretty penny, but is this the heater hose and can this be done by me? I know it may take a while to do the job but it is better than 700 at acura.
