Got new brakes yesterday...
New calipers, rotors and brake pads..
$175 for EVERYTHING @ Les Schwab
Comes with a 3 year warranty.
Next project, going to add the VSA components and new ABS. Not sure when, this is going to take some planning.

Les Schwab is a tire installation store based in Oregon but has locations all over the NW. The company has a history of providing quality service at good prices and treating their employees VERY well (respect, profit sharing, health care) and their customers like family.

Are you sure it included everything? I just got mines done last week, same price, and they were just for the brake pads and machined my rotors. Customer service was awesome, they even spray painted my calipers since they were discolored. So rusted looking that it look like part of an old boat.

Damn...shoulda hooked me up too!
There's a special from "Brake Team". 4 Wheels for only $99.99, any make or model vehicle. Includes front and rear pads or shoes installed, resurface rotors, pack bearings, bleed brake system, complete brake inspection and a great warranty. Offer expires 2/14/05. You'll also get free windshield wiper blades.
I don't know how reputable they are, or if there are hidden fees, but this deal sounds real good. Too bad I saw the ad the day after I got my brakes done from Les Schwab.

That is a good deal, if the service/reputation/skill level is good.
Les Schwab to me is a KNOWN quantity.

A couple interesting reads I found earlier today actually:

http://www.stoptech.com/whitepapers/bedincontents.htm
Just about setting the pads into place and stuff, you might wanna take a look at it.
