Good deal???

'97 w/40k miles. Interior is near perfect. Lots, more than normal, of door dings. Looks like it's been parked in a mall parking lot all it's life. Not the premium version. Asking $9k. Good deal??? Looking to let my '04 TL/Navi rest since it's already at 37k miles.

Except for the door dings, it sounds like a deal at that mileage. Get a mechanic to inspect it!

Door dings can be taken out, but too low mileage.......you have to assume something was done to tamper the miles.....have a good mechanic check it out. Good luck.

low milage does not mean anythink bad.
My wife has a 1996 Toyata, bought it brand new. It only has 51k miles. She hardly drives it, back and forth to work is only 8 miles. That's the only driving she does in that car.

But it's always good to check it out by mechanic.

Possibly.. but I found a 15 year old Accord with 37,000 miles on it, bought it and loved it.

Also have to consider that numerous small, short trips are considered harsh conditions for cars, and need to be taken care of differently than cars which take longer trips.

Get CarFax and check for emissions inspection records. They should show mileage on vehicle and should be consistent w/ present mileage. If not,... run away.

good luck
