WELLL..... So putting the motor back together on Monday and Dave (the guy who's working on my motor) discovers that one of the heads and cams is FUBAR'd. BIG gouge on the center cam journal on the driver's side head and on the bearing as well. Dropped the whole assembly off at the scrapyard I bought it from to have them see if they can machine it. If not, I will be having to get a new head, which means porting out the damned thing AGAIN. THIS SUCKS!! I am hoping they can fix it, but if not then I want a new head, cause I only wanna have to go through this disaster once. Starting to wonder if this whole project was such a good idea... I shouldve just grabbed a 2002 RL motor and dropped it right in.

I think I should change the name of this thread to " I hope my motor gets back together someday...." Just spoke with the manager at the scrapyard. They FINALLY are working on my head today, it's been there for almost 2 weeks now. They are pretty sure they can fix it....F$#@ man. Supoosedly should have it back tomorrow. I'll let y'all know how it looks.
