I have a 1998 Tl 2.5 got under and changed the rear differential, transmission and oil yesterday. The differential wasn't bad at all, but the transmission fluid smelled god awful....and it was burned up. My question is how many times will I need to change this before I get it all out. I didn't change the filter the first time, I figured let me get it changed a few times and then I will proceed to the filter change. Also why in the world would Acura put the oil filter in its location? It sits in a place that will get oil everywhere, so I went ahead and cleaned the motor after the change. Does anyone have a trick for oil changes?
