Door speakers question

I did some searching about the speakers but I found different info...

Are the front speakers powered by external amp? I put Alpine head unit on my car and I want to replace the front speakers too. Do I need to run new speaker wires to the head unit or just use the existing wire? The car is a 1996 3.2 TL, btw

Thanks in advance.

Yeah unless there is some special reason the new speakers wont work with the existing wires.
