Deciding on mesh.

Hey Guys, I wanted to get feedback on what colour u think I should paint my mesh on my 96 2.5 TL. I have a dark green TL, currently with gold grille and emblems. Any recommendations? on colour/mesh type? And is it easy to install? I did some searching and found couple of DIY sites, but they apply to Legend. Same instructions as TL?
Thanks.

Maybe if you guys have meshes, you can post your pics in this forum to give others ideas...

I have black mesh over my grille.

It's not noticeable really because its black. But it looks better than the wide spaces the vertical slats make. The grille area would not be so black if the mesh wasn't there.

I had the gold idea too. Do you recommend the home depot option for gold as well(painting)?

I found a nice site for idea of meshes. Ridiculous prices though..Contains pics of grille patterns (diamond, oval, hexagon...etc)
http://www.customcargrills.com/index.asp (GRILL MESH ON THE LEFT FRAME)
Maybe ill take a pic of my front gold grille and do some photocopy work to check which pattern looks nice.

to the guys that had the mesh for awhile, is the wear of the mesh worth it, but really mesh is replacable at a cheap price. but u guys see wear at a fast rate?

also, behind the grill, the black panel running across, does that have to be cut or is it removable? and finally, what puts the pressure on the grill to have it stick out with a curve.

I made my mesh out of $1.50 gutter screen stuff. I just took off my grill and drew a rough outline. Then I cut the grill with tin shears. After conforming and test fitting, I cut some more off. To have it meld naturally to your grill, just bend the aluminum. Then I painted it with two coats of flat black paint. In retrospect, I should have used better paint instead of just cheapo acrylic stuff. Then I fastened it onto the exist slats using a few black zip ties.

Its been on for at least two years. I actually keeps bugs off my radiator I've noticed (huge bugs get caught on the screen instead).

I sorta like the way the grill looks stock, as long as the plastic is kept nice and black.

I've thought about doing a mesh setup behind the lower grill though, to try and keep it a bit cleaner looking, but haven't gotten around to doing it really.
