Cooling fan is constantly on

Whenever i put my key in the ignition the cooling fan comes on, and stays on. It never shuts off, in the winter the only way to stop it was by taking the fuse out. Took it to a mechanic he cant figure it out. Any ideas on why the cooling fan stays on. I got a 98 2.5,

Which cooling fan?

Might be the a/c cooling fan has a stuck relay.

If anything, disconnect the little harness on the back of the passenger side valve cover. It should stop it if it's the cooling fan and not the AC fan.

~Cheers~

If its the cooling fan then also look for bad thermostat.

Check your coolant level. I had a very similar problem. My radiator is not pulling from the reservoir and I was pretty low on coolant, filled the radiator up and the fan stopped working all the time.
