car battery

Hey I finally got my 3 10's facing the right way in my trunk with a lot of work but it paid off. My buddy and I are gonna have it set up hopefully by the end of the next week so I'll post some pics up but the real question I have right now pertains to my car battery. I have an old beat up battery and my system will be running about 1000 watts and I don't think it's gonna be too good for this old POS. Does anyone know where I can get a new, quality car batter at a good price?

Thanks

sears. their battery's are about $100 and they're warrantied for life. i'd suggest getting a capacitor for your system too in addition to the battery.

Optima red-top, or even yellow as the yellow is slightly better. You could also run a small Odyssey battery mounted in the rear of the car in addition to your main battery.

Optima are pricey. they're around 160-200 bucks or so but it depends on the color. Yellow top has more reserve capacity than a red top but red top will have more cranking amp to start your car. Also you may want to look into Kinetik battery as well.

I personally have an Orbital battery, found at Kragen for $150, and it works a treat. It's a six-cell one, and it isn't too heavy. Some Optima yellow-tops have a higher CCA rating but it depends on the group.
