C35 Motor ideas...

Ok, let the engine modding begin!

With the '02 RL, I'm looking into modifying the intake manifold and the throttle body. Any other crazy ideas? This is just for starters...

Holy crap, Ken, I know I have a C35 in the TL so I post on this side, but your C35 is still IN an RL! HAHAHA!!

Wrong section, but get a Type II manifold and you'll be set.

~Cheers~

P.S. Oh, and polish the inside of that manifold, too.

Type II manifold... check!

Well at least THIS time, I can do all the work myself and not worry about getting my uncle to do all the OBDII -> OBDI ecu modding.

No need to do much wiring for the manifold. Just some vacuum lines here and there, so it won't be as hard as your Type II heads.

Hey Swift, will the unit be an M90, or will it be an M114?

~Cheers~

so someone is developing a roots style blower for these motors as of now?

Is it going to be intercooled or more of that jackson racing horseshit that just crams hot detonation prone air into the engine the more the boost you add?

I contemplated using a novi 1000 off my old mustang and making brackets, but then you run into that god damn transmission issue again.

High compression, with a non membrane intercooled roots blower though. If thats the plan, yikes! Tried the same thing even with an intercooler kit, and ended up making horseshit power. Junked the roots style for a centrifigual style and blammo, worked fine. Quick response with the roots, but honestly you could really do something easy with a paxton or vortech or whatever. Hell even a rotex if you had to mount it backwards or some shit.

The MAIN issue with doing ANYTHING to those motors to make big power, the transmission is insufficient. I will work on it as soon as i can open some more sweat shops in laos to afford the parts right now since ive got so much shit going on.

Should be Undyroos, then. We're identical except for me having all Inspire parts and he being lowered.

no, it was the motor swapped dropped on "air suspension" picture that we took with both of us in it. Now I have a picture of my Legend instead

lol I just happened to be walking around in the junkyard just and just as I was about to leave, I looked at this legend coupe.. I was like wait a second.. its a type II decided to pull the manifold (took me 40 mins). Good thing it was a 50% off day too. I'm just planning on buying a set of those complete engine gasket sets off of ebay for like $50 and only using the intake manifold ones.

My friend ending up going back to the yard the next day to pull the dual piston calipers and some other misc stuff. Too bad I didn't bring enough cash because he paid $10 per caliper.
