Buying a 1990 300zx Built TT 400+hp 18psi plus list of mods buying soon after

Here are some pics of my soon to be 300zx with in the next few weeks.

Tell me what you think and the pics of the gauges, gauge pods, racing seats & 4 point harnesses they are on order right now will finalize the order once it get close to me picking the car up. Those stock seats are being taken out and replaced with the racing seats and red 4 point harnesses for both passenger and driver. I am mounting a A pillar gauge pod on the drivers side and a double din 3 gauge pod below the stereo. The second pic of the back side where the dent is. I am going to be getting that fixed for $300 then it will be good all around.

Heres the pics

2 Black Seats with White Stitching & 4 Point Harnesses

Gauge Pods & Gauges The last 2 I am not sure on I like the one from 300degree which is the last pic shown of the Gauge Pods. Tell me what you think.

Gauges

Thanks for looking any input is helpful

Good luck!

~Cheers~

P.S. Out of curiosity, where's the baby seat going to fit? Also, why do you need so many gauges?

Thats why I bought my self a car and My wife is keeping the TL and were either going to sell it or trade it for a honda civic or accord. And the reason for all the gauges is that I like the way it looks n they are not unusefull gauges there all practical also they are very cheap at glowshift.com. Thought people here would know about the 300zx TT and the power house that it really is, thought everyone here would appreciate this car but I was wrong one comment thats nice. Thought that you of all people Go90Go would be the one to really no about this car.

Great solid car. I loved that car when it 1st came out. I actually loved that and the supra. One more thing, you can't powershift in those cars. If you're going to run someone from a dig, you're going to be granny shifting.

Other than the seats car looks nice as is. Don't fuck it up. and Good Luck, you will need it.

You were bitching about maintaining a stock TL and now buying that car in that beatup condition is not going to make it any better for you.

P.S. You are still a douch.

Thanks, Yea I love this car and have been waiting for a long time for something like this to come along and it finally did so I am pretty excited. Well this time I was looking for a 5 speed and found one with a stage 2 clutch and short throw shifter. I wont be doing Neutral drops in the tl anymore. I was wondering if anyone here knows where I can get a good deal on HKS BOV's?

That "dent" will cost a hell of a lot more than $300 to fix

So I am the douch because the car has a lil dent in the backside and the seats are torn up which I am fixing when I get the car. If you actually read my post I explained all of that. I am posting here to hear opinions from people not to be talked down too or to start shit, I am not interested in fighting with people over the Internet. So if thats all you want to do is talk shit then please dont post in my thread thank you

I do know about this car, and I know that this is not going to be a good car for you.

As for the HKS, why do you want to drive around tweeting like a bird? If the car really was built and had 400WHP, he should have already had a decent BOV and wastegate.

~Cheers~

That's the only bodystyle that I like I think they're cool. But I don't think I would part with my TL to buy one. I hope it goes good for you! It looks fun.

Its does it has the Apexi ones but I dont like how they look and sound. I like the way the HKS sound and look so I wanted to get some of those. It does not sound like tweeting, I just like the way it sounds. And this car has tons of options from the after-market world unlike the tl dont get me wrong i love my tl but i just want something with more option from the after-market world. Once I do get this car If you want to meet down in frisco or something I will be more than happy to drive down there and try to change ur mind on the 300zx.

You don't need to change my mind on it. If you're happy with it, then fine. Considering their engine bay is even more cramped than ours, it's not something I personally would get. As far as GT cars go, it's Supra all the way for me.

due to many things.
Stay away from glowshifts. piece of shit. made the mistake of running them in my 240sx. 2 of them broke within a month

They now come with a limited one year warranty and will replace your product as long as you were not the one at fault you just have to pay for the shipping if it happens after 15 days.

I guess... have fun working on it in that engine bay. My friend has a clean ass one. Should be running 12s nowadays. He had to pull the motor twice to fix it. lol

Thanks everyone

If a gauge works correctly and tells what it is so post to tell and it is right then why spend 140 or more pure gauge just for a name. I am going to try these glowshift gauges out and if they work right then I guess I will save a bunch of money.

DEFI FTW! Had them in every turbo car I owned and never had problems. Cheap gauges suck and give inaccurate readouts. Nice 300ZXTT even with the wear they are awesome cars.

I did a google search for Glowshift gauge reviews and found this on dsmtuners.com It has a full review, install with pics tell of the problems and fixes. If you could just go by that site scroll to the second and third page there r the pics instsall pics with the diffrent colors and ways to install. They do not say they are perfect and some gauges suck and some work great so this is not a one sided review so read that one if you like i have found other to but this one is the best because of the detail of the review redturboecplise did.

Thanks 08A-Spec

I always liked the 300ZX but I'd be scared to buy one because you know that people who own cars like that tend to drive the shit out of them. You don't see a snob 60 year old driving one. I'd just get a 993 from an old dude and (probably) have less worries.

There is a big stack of service records, mods done by z1 and a carfax report to prove everything that this guy is saying so I am not to worried about this car but i do understand what everyone is saying.

FTR my friend's 55 year old dad just wrecked his 993 on one of his weekend racing jaunts. So they're not immune to abuse either. And I'd wager my car that an old Nissan can hold up to abuse better than an old Porsche can.
