96' 3.2 TL Performance Upgrade???

I visited this site a long time ago and when I came back, all the usual sites that have parts for the old 96 3.2 TLs are gone.

Was wondering if there are any new products out there that will give me alittle of a performance boost.

I'm looking for any kind of intakes, ECU, anything for a '96 3.2 TL.
If anyone can tell me, it'll be much appericated.
THANKYOU

If you want a REAL upgrade... do what this guy did locally... he swapped his 4 speed auto (the only available tranny on our cars) for a 6 speed manual from a Legend GS. Fits perfectly and is a major improvement in speed. Plus the gas mileage is a bit better (15% or so) on the highway.

Unfortunately, the problem is FINDING one and then swapping it in.

venom performance control modulator, no intakes, that control modulator should give u about 15 hp, there is also a fuel pressure regulator out there. i say upgrade the ignition and fuel system then use nitrous if u want ur TL to move.

i searched ebay for 96 3.2 tl parts and all i come up with are cambers and spark plugs.

i'm not looking for nos. nos is for track use and for wanna-be ricers. i have no need for going that fast..

i just want good acceleration.

would there happen to be a site specifically for first gen 3.2 tl's?
what happened to value-caraudio.com?

oh u have a 3.2, there are more parts for those than the 2.5ers. I know there is some intakes out there correct me if i am wrong but there is a weapon R intake that will fit your car as well as a ractive intake. I also suggest u looking into that Venom Performance modulator.

3.2's are easier. Just look any parts for a '91 thru '95 Legend. Same engine

Are foam intake filters better than the paper filters?

Are there sway bars for the 96 3.2tl's?

There is a front strut tower brace for the 3.2s I have it on my car, Its made by king motor sports and is origonally made for the legend but fits our cars perfectly, just have them remove the LEGEND engraved on it.

Rather than a full ECU upgrade, you could go with an APEXi S-AFC. In case you aren't familiar with it, it's basically a plug and play module for your computer that lets you readjust air/fule ratios in the engine. There is also a V-AFC, which not only allows for air/fuel adjustment, but you can also adjust the point in which your V-TEC engages. This is something you can adjust by yourself, but I would recomend having a tuning shop do the adjustments so that you get the optimal A/F ratio without having the car register as running lean. Also, the older Acuras are fairly detuned from the factory, so you can expect good increases in power with this upgrade...i.e..18-20 hp.

Our engines don't have VTEC so its pointless getting a controller. The A/F controller does however make sense. Just have to be careful about it.
