2.5TL radiator (again?)

Hey I posted here a while ago I have a 1998 2.5TL and I had to replace the radiator at 50K miles. It’s been about a year and last weekend I smelled antifreeze when I got home. It almost looked like antifreeze had been pushed out of the ends of some of the hoses do to pressure or something? I went to an Acura dealer and they checked it out and said everything was ok with the radiator and the hoses. Its been really really cold here in PA I don’t know if this would have anything to do with it. Anyway I think it has something to do with pressure or something. It seems like if the car is driven at higher RPMs the pressure or something causes the radiator to leak around the hose seals? Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this might be happening?

I don't know why they wouldn't have done a pressure test on it (maybe they did), but have one done.

Yea they did do the pressure test and they said everything was ok. Like I said it only happens when the engine reaches high RPMs? That’s my opinion, I still think there is some relationship between pressure/and RPMs or something. Any suggestions?

speaking of radiator problems, my radiator has a "leak" on the sides of the top. you know where the cap is? well the sides of the radiator....err i know i'm nto being clear at where exactly.

well anyways, radiator = plastic, so i cant use some kind of raditator sealant, it looksl ike it just got loose on those rubber sides.

anyway to close it?

It's meant to cool your engine off so it doesnt overheat since they had so many problems with legends overheating. So you shouldnt really mess with it.

yea it does do it too, the harder you run your car the longer the fans are on to cool it off the engine.

My radiator began leaking at about 80K miles, and I found a good aftermarket one for about $200 or so. It's common for the top plastic part to spring leaks. Once it begins leaking there, you need to replace it. No need to try and put a bandaid on something as serious as that.

Anyone changed this out therselves

Anyone ever changed out their radiator? I had to add 1/2 gallon on Tuesday or so and then the overflow was empty today and had to top off again. I think that means I havea leak!
