2.5 wood

Hey, I found this link to this company that sells wood kits for the tl- seems to have all the pieces, but the shiftgate thing is really irking me. can't imagine wood on that.

what i'm looking for is the wood piece thats on some tl's that covers the main console part (mine's black)... i think most, if not all, of them have the cutouts for the heated seats (which I don't have ).. any idea where i could find one without the cutouts?

anyone use this kit? their site is kinda sucky, hope the kit is better....

I believe someone got a brushed alluminum kit from there and was pretty dissapointed with the fit and finish.

It's almost $200, and I can't seem to find a picture? I would want to know what it looked like before I put that much money into it.

I think Mike had a pretty good dash kits with the few extra bits of wood that made his interior look clean...you might wanna ask him.

Wood completed, and pics...

Ok, I finally added the wood kit to my car- here's a few shots...

This is the kit- if anyone's thinking about adding this kit, lemme know, I've got much larger pics if you want some detail....

Vent, Before:

Vent, After:

Door, Before:

Door, After:

My ratings (1-10):
Color/pattern-match: 8
Stickability: 9 (3M is awesome)
Wow factor from passengers: 10
Shiftgate piece I was reluctant to use: 9.5 (actually my fave part- sorry no pics, but it looks like Mike's )
OVERALL: 9.125- not bad....

Slight mis-match in color and pattern, but you can only notice that in certain light. Also, a couple of pieces are light on the adhesive (these are mostly the really skinny strips- the adhesive is there, just not too tacky on the plastic, but they stick)...

Great packaging, only came with two alcohol wipes- I swiped some from work- make sure you do this THOROUGHLY if you're getting this kit- you'd be surprised what those things pick up- I was shocked- gonna wash the whole car with those things .... also, make sure you use the blowdryer or a heat gun when applying- really helps..

Changed the whole look of my interior drastically, and all in about 30 minutes... Tell me whatcha think...

honestly thats alot of woodgrain. i dont know about that. i think its kinda over kill.
definately dont put the wood over the shifter gate, the chrome is the shit.
everyone like there own tastes i guess. i like how my stock 3.2TL premium came with the wood, just enough, not overkill.

btw, i hope its your camera but on the vent picture "before and after" the wood on the vent in the after picture does not look like it matches the other wood. ?like i said i hope itsn your camera on that one
