So while doing maintenance to my new ride I bought a WIX tranny filter and gasket (Wix number 58615). Get under the car and go to work only to find the filter fits perfect however the gasket has a zig where it should zag. WIX is absolutely useless useless for tech support, my local Honda dealer says they can't look it up even though everything underneath is stamped Honda, and the local Acura dealer says sorry but your part is no longer made. To get it back on the road I had to reuse the old gasket so next opportunity I get I'm going to replace it
Does anyone know of a manufacturer that actually makes the correct gasket?

No sir I just cleaned the old gasket and reused it. This was more about warning everyone the Wix kit is incorrect and seeing if anyone has tried any other brands with better results.

oh okay got you, yeah wix has a reputation for not performing well. at least from what i’ve seen. for some people the brand works okay but from my experience they haven’t. there should be a website around that carries NOS and reman parts for the 1G RL. i’ll have to do some digging to see if i can still find it
