1996 3.5RL Door Panels

Does anyone know how to remove the rear passenger door panel so that I can access the window and motor?
Thanks.

There are 5 screws that you need to remove.
-2 are behind the trash slot
-2 are behind the the cover behind the inside door handle.
- 1 is the door stop. (it is a black wedge, that keeps the door from hitting metal to metal when shutting the door
-1 is underneath the arm rest, there is a whole, I believe the screw is a phillips head.

Once all of those screws are removed pull the bottom half of the door away from the metal door. There are some plastic pieces that pop into place to keep the door there.

Once the bottom half of the door is separated gently pull the door upward, it will detact from the metal clips that are holding it there.

After the door is free, you have to reach behind it and detach all of the wires that are attach, to the lights, window regulator, and then the door handle mechanism.

From there you should have access to the window regulator.

To put the door back, follow those steps backwards.

It's this easy. I had both window motor/regulator combos go out, and I put dynamat inside the doors. Works great to silence road noise, and your doors will have that "bank vault" thud of a mercedes. Very nice touch. I loved it so much i pulled my front door panels & did the fronts.
