1998 RL SE (white/beige) with 83,000 original miles
My folks asked me if I knew anyone who might be interested in their garage-kept RL - I told them *I* was interested and my mother simply gave me the car. Rides like a dream!

New RL owner
02 Silver w/Nav
Bought w/ 280k, has 300k now
I've had her for a little over two years now. Didn't have a single problem with it for the first year, most everything that developed after was minor and as follows: (just listing for reference, not looking for help )
D- light shift indicator in the instrument bezel went out
The steering column won't move up or down, still telescopes in and out. It was intermittent at first, but before it totally died, I managed to get it in a comfortable position and turned it off for good.
Once, and only once, the sunroof control didn't work. I've never opened it since. I've been down that road before. Ain't even worth it.
Panel that houses the driver's side seat control broke and that just hangs down. Still works though.
Had to replace the slide pins in the rear calipers. Ate through a set of pads and still noticed they were rubbing without the brakes being pressed after I installed new pads. New slide pins were cheap and fixed it right up. Went ahead and did front pins as well just to be safe. Also let the pads go too long, so ended up doing new rotors all the way around, but they looked too old to be turned anyway. Still had the rotor screws in them!? Surely not OEM with that many miles, but I've never met a mechanic that puts them back in after a change. Just a useless hassle the next time they need done. Thought that was odd. Had to drill out both on the passenger rear, one on the driver rear.
Noticed an oil leak coming from the bell housing. Thankfully it doesn't look like the rear main. You can clearly see it coming out of the firewall side of the valve cover on both sides. I've put that one off for several months, but it's going through a bit more oil now so I've a gasket set on order and I'll probably get at that next weekend. I've never done valve cover gaskets on a FWD car that didn't have a transverse mounted engine, and anyone that has knows that rear bank can be a huge pain (at least on certain cars), so really looking forward that. Even still, it looks pretty busy and cluttered over the valve cover. It's been a while since I've been under a hood, I may have to break out the masking tape and sharpie.
I soldered a 1/8" stereo jack to the disc changer in the trunk and ran a cable to the center console to play music from my phone.
The nav blue screened about a year back, but I never used it anyway. I've been meaning to take it out and put a small tablet in there, I would just want to foam and fiberglass a new bezel so it looks neat, as well as run audio to it, hook up charge power, and all that jazz. With work all day and school all night, that's just more work than I care to do at the moment.
Overall, minor issues. Especially for a car with so many miles. I got it free and clear for 2K cash from a buy here/pay here lot. I didn't really even expect the car to last this long, I was in a pinch and needed some wheels at the time. Still running great though, and it's a very creature-comfortable car. My buddies call it the "geezer glider", but for $2K and all that comfort, they can talk all they want. Last owner put in an autostart and those heated seats are where it's at in the winter. I don't romp on it, so that may be why it still runs so great. I'm sold on the brand, my next will def be Acura. Maybe a 2nd gen RL if I can find one at a decent price.

02 Acura RL No Nav.
Proud owner of a "Midnight Blue" (looks black) RL tan interior, W/ Yakima Luggage rack and Weapon-R Cold Air Intake. Minor front bumper damage, and one sunny weekend away from installing coilovers to fix the sag in rear suspension. Trying to modify this beauty the best I can without taking away from the classic lux. sedan looks. 150,xxx miles. Just installed rear sway bar when I found that there wasn't one when I did end links 🙄

Your paint color would be Juniper Green Pearl. They did a lot of paint name changes and paint options through the various years, my 02’s dark green paint is called Vermont Green Pearl. They’re relatively similar, but are different so be sure to get the right paint if you ever have to touch it up! 👍🏻

Love it, even tho I haven't driven it yet lol
At first I wasnt too crazy about the color and gold emblems but it's growing on me. I'm just happy that she's in such great condition just needs some cleaning up.

Yeah. I believe CMP is the rarest color for this car. She have the full gold kit? If so then you are the only other 1G RL in existence that I know of with the full gold kit. As for how she drives, that really depends on the tires more than anything else on this car. With the right tires, it feels almost as nimble as a 8g Civic while cornering to me at least. Its really a marvel how they made a 3900 pound car feel so nimble around the corners using conventional methods.
#305
It consists of the chrome piece above the license plate, the wheel emblems, the rear badge emblems, and the front grille emblem. Think it is really rare. My dad might've been IDK 1/30-50 to order it in the Northeast when the car was new. Can't even find images online.
#308
That's why I said it feels like an 8th gen Civic. It isn't as nimble obviously, but it feels really nimble for its size. Granted I have new struts, new compliance bushings in the front, and SPC arms in the back which added some positive camber to the rear wheels and stiffened the rear end a little. All of that makes the car rotate better, but it felt weird at first.
