Well sis (aka 'Senior Management') has been carping on her 06 GS for close to two years. She had looked at the TL when I bought mine, loved the styling, but found it too harsh riding (I come from a Toyota / Lexus family of genetically soft buttocks). Still she was impressed with Acura's value compared to Lexus. But ultimately settled on the GS. She never took to it, nor the Avalon LTD bro-in-law drives...so no marital swaps.

Then I traded my TL for the RL last fall. It was a hit with her as much as it has been with me. She has threatened to kidnap, swap, and worse yet, buy my RL. I laughed it off, accepted the flattery and assured myself I was glad not to buy the GS (the very alternative I considered when I bought the RL). Well the GS has been rattling, shifting like it was made for Sybil, and generally too low seating for the driver position she prefers. Lexus service s extraordinary, but the car just has not been what she expected.

She has decided she wants an RL. I called the dealer, and she has a choice between NBP/Taupe, White / Ebony, PFM / Taupe or RRP / Ebony. All are Tech.

Since she has driven my RL more than any test drive could offer, I am sure it's about cosmetics as to what colors appeals to her most. Ebony interior is higher priority than exterior, except she does not want a black car.

Place your bets...which will it be?

 

Ummmm ... I figure she'll go with a VW Beetle.

I admit the RRP is very rare, especially with the ebony interior. I loved RRP on my TL, but I prefer the Taupe interior. I am just too picky on the interior being clean and ebony shows all the dust. Her car, not mine.

The white / ebony was a close second, but the GS was white pearl also...she needed a change.

 

It just seemed like the color combo she'd like. I'm hoping my stock picks are as accurate the next few weeks.

 

OK, acuralvr1....and HOW do you know what she would like? Exactly HOW do you know my sis?

What I meant is that I see more women with that color combo than men. My wife actually wanted me to get that color combo for my TL a few years ago. Just an educated guess.
