Hey, out of curiosity where did you pick up blizzaks for 550? I have been searching around and can't find any near that price.

Thanks!

Nice, that would have been my choice if you could pin them with studs. You are allowed studs in BC from October 1 and April 30.

17" winter set up

Hey guys, i need some help here trying get a 17" set up for my RDX this winter.

i am trying to place an order thru 1010tires. here is the same up

Winter Rims Universal Fit Steel-17" x 6.5" Painted/Black, 5/114.3, 40mm

Pirelli Scorpion Ice - Snow-225/65R17

the tires will fit the wheels with no problem, but will the rims fits the RDX?

i was trying to search for the answer. i know a fellow forum member has put a set of RSX oem wheel onto the RDX.

be very careful with the steel rims.. they may not be the same size as your center bore and so you'd be riding on wheels secured just by your lugnuts/studs. rsx oem 16" rims???

Hubcentric rims, which you refer to, are common for oem rims but not that common for aftermarket rims. But this is not a major problem. The studs are designed to secure the rim to the car.

Most aftermarket rims are lugcentric but if you're really worried you can still install hubcentric rings inside the rim to match your oem bore and get them perfectly centered.

Good choices, all around. I have to say that I regret my choice because they are so loud and rough. I know they will take Carrie wherever she needs to go this winter (she has to work, but I get the day off if it snows). But these Hankook iPike RW11 are basically truck tires.

They were inexpensive and grip great, but freeway driving makes you feel like you're in a 1972 F150.

^^I was looking at getting those as well, but the price difference to go to a Michelin Xi2 was soo little that it made it easier to decide. The Hankooks were on back order till some time in December.

I'll be looking for new 18" rims come this summer since the winters will now be on the OEM rims.

I grabbed a set of TPMS sensors off of eBay and they shipped to Canada with no duties, so less than a 100 CAD all in

Regarding tire size, anyone running 215/65R17? I've seen someone running 225/65R17 here on the forums just wondering if anybody had experience with 215's (closer in rolling diameter).

I just got a 2012 RDX Tech stock size 235/55/18. I had a set of Ronjon Legends from my '08 TL -S that I had to give up when I got married (got into a '10 TL SH-AWD Tech. Bought a set of Michelin Alpin PA3's for it. I recently became a dad so the wife made me give up the TL and we got the RDX. So, now I'm gonna mount my michelins onto my Ronjons for winter use. Checked with a tire shop and said for the few months, the size difference will not be an issue. *phew*. Can't wait to see howit looks. Lol

Got DMVs as well, they're great tires, took them to Cypress and Whistler many times, no issues, minimal black ice sliding as well.

Neat. Could you tell us more about the TPMS sensor? Do they work fine? Where did you get them?
