Shock leak

So our 07 RDX with 57,000 km's has a leaking shock (rear driver side). Luckily it is still under warranty and is being replaced.

Anyone have same issue before?

I didn't inspect my rear shock, but I brought my car in a few weeks ago about some clunking on the rear driver side and the dealership said they would order some new rear struts. Waiting on hearing back from them in the new year. I have 51000 KMs.

got it replaced and the car drives much better (the rear would float and drove like crap)

The dealership here replaced them today and the car doesn't make the clunking sounds anymore. Car drives great now! It was nice of them that they did this under warranty for me I wasn't sure what the issue was and how much it would have cost.

It happened to my wife's 07 RDX when it had only ~30K miles on it. Dealer replaced it free of charge, but it took us about 10 days before the part arrived, and they didn't give us a loaner, they said it's okay to drive, just don't go wild with it.

Fairly common. Damper has been redesigned and revised with a new part number.

I've just noticed the same thing on my 08 tech, 36,000 miles, driver side rear shock leaking. My question for anyone who knows, is it just the driver side or should I try and get them both replaced while still under warranty. My closest dealer is over 250 miles away and the warr. will soon be gone.
cheers.

If you can get them to replace both now, by all means do so. If they won't, you should not have any apparent driving problems from having only one new one.

I replaced the passenger side about a year ago and am still waiting for the driver side to show signs of leaking at 92k miles. It drives fine.

I have an 08 with about 35,000 miles and have noticed a few drops of oil on my garage floor every few days. I think I might have the same issue.

Can someone please confirm with the attached image?

Thanks.
