Exclamation RDX in the shop

Hey guys, We have an 07 RDX tech package. Just hit 22k miles (we dont drive it much, my wifes primarily.) Anyway she called me from her work and said all the lights came on the dash and it was driving funny. So I headed over there and every dash light was on. I drove it and the boost meter was showing nothing. I drove it over to Acura, only a 5 mile commute. And got a loaner. Should know something later this afternoon, or tomorrow. Anyone have a similar problem?

Good luck. Hope it is something simple! Keep us posted.

Will do. Yeah had 4 cars (nothing spectacular, I just refused to sell my turbo eclipse until a few months ago). So we're driving the RDX alot more. Love the AC in that thing. Anyway I'll let you guys know the word as soon as I get a call from the service dept.

^Yep, I only have to pay a diagnostic fee. Everything else is on the house. Should get her back by Friday, they had to order the unit.

Why do you even have to pay a diagnostic fee? If it's under warranty, everything should be covered. Unless it's out of warranty and they are replacing the ECU out of goodwill.

There is a good chance the 07 was out of the 4yr/50,000 mile warranty. The warranty starts on the manufacture date of the vehicle not the model year or the year the RDX was purchased at the dealership. The RDX could have been manufactured in the winter/2006 with the 4 year warranty expiring the winter/2010. The dealership might of put it under a warranty claim to cover the cost of the ECU, loaner vehicle, and goodwill to the customer.

Did you have the Hondata reflash when the ECU failed? Please say no.

^Yes you are correct sir, Iam out of warranty, even with so few miles. However, they replaced the ECU and all I had to do was pay a diagnostic fee. LOL Shes bone stock, no reflashing was done. HEHEHEHE.

Got her back today, shes driving good
