For another 20 bucks you can get the Helm Service Manual. The key coding procedure is in there along with everything else you'd ever want to know.

The procedure is a DIY, but it's a little complicated depending on how many key units you have. The computer has memory for six key units. So if you are using only one because you lost one, that one must be programmed six times to delete any code from the lost key. If you bought one to replace the lost one and have a total of two then each of the two must be programed three times to delete any old code. In other words you have to fill all six memory positions with an active key to delete the code from the missing key.

Programming is simple with no tools, but the timing and sequence has to be right or you might delete the existing key.

Get the book.

this procedure is to program the remote portion of the key. this does not program the immobilizer part of the key.
if the old owner of the car still has that key, they can still open, start the car and drive off.
sucks you dont have a dealer out there.
