Twice now the key has gotten stick in the ignition. Turns off OK, goes all the way to proper position, but does not come out! The steering wheel does not lock. The shift lever is seated correctly in Park. Took it into the Acura service dept and they were able to get it out after a few minutes; then they could not reproduce the problem. Service manager says he had never heard of this issue. Worked fine for about 6 weeks then it happened again. Has anyone heard of this?

 

Do you have another key that you can try? Maybe the first one is slightly defective.

 

This has happened before. Cause was a bad shifter assembly. The vehicle was not registering that it was in park when it was. You can't remove the key unless the vehicle knows it is in park.

Happened with both keys. I will bring this shifter assembly comment to the service manager and see what he says....

 

Is your steering wheel turned all the way in one direction? I couldnt get my key out and when i turned the wheel a little it came right out

 

I just got it fixed after it happened to me. There is a leak that takes out the fuse on the ignition. Your dealer has an internall memo about this. Get it done before it rains again!
