headlight condensation

hello fellow acura-heads!

my 2011 rdx is getting a LOT of moisture in the headlights recently… i dont know if it was because of this headlight restorer kit i got, or if its just because the weather is starting to change.. beats me. I will upload pictures soon, my son was born the other day and we are waiting to be discharged, so i will attach those when i can. I asked my pops what he reccomends to do, and he hit me with the “hairdryer” one word text lol. any other suggestions? much love y’all!!

I’ve had the same problem with mine and my son’s RDX , both drivers side. . On mine I vacuumed it down with AC vacuum pump to remove moisture and discovered the lenses was leaking at the top . Easy fix was a clear sealer after cleaning of course.
On my son’s, I cheated a bit and used a strip of duct tape and it’s works to this day .
Most headlamps have a vent with some kind of sponge to prevent matter entering the lamp . I would recommend sealing the upper seal and let the heat from the bulbs “burn” off the moisture.
Beats paying over $ 600 for a headlamp for sure ..

Hey congrats on the birth of your son.

Typically the headlight housing just needs to be re-sealed. Lots of youtube videos on how to do this. It's a slight pain since the entire housing needs to come out but definitely doable as a DIY job.
