Coolant level at MIN level...

Just checked the coolant level and it was at the "MIN" level when cold. I would actually say it is even slightly lower than the "MIN" level.

Going to the local Honda parts dealer and getting the Honda antifreeze and top it up. Intersting that the RDX is only 6 months old and I have to top up the coolant already.

Anyone experience this as well?

Are you sure you don't have a leak in your system? There shouldn't be any coolant missing.

I don't think there is a leak, but this also happened with my other car TSX. I will be monitoring the coolant level the next couple of days.

My coolant level hasn't changed in 10 months.

Have you tried checking for coolant odor, or looking for coolant mist in a flashlight beam, when the engine is at operating temp?

Also, sometimes coolant will vent when the hoses and lines are still cold (not fully sealed) just after start-up.

that doesnt sound right....is it possible it wasnt filled up from the get-go (and no one noticed), i think thats more possible than there being a leak at this point.

Yeah, that's what happened to me, it was low when I got it. Once it was filled to the appropriate level, it has stayed there.

After running it for a over a day now, and left it for a night, and checked it this morning cold, the level was where I had refilled to. Will continue to monitor the level the next couple of days.
