3 gen RDX chassis

There is a 99% chance it is going to be using the new CRV/Civic platform which from reviews is WAY sportier than the older CRV platform. Acura has been making moves towards a sporty brand again (hopefully not just looks but substance too) so there is a strong chance we will get SH-AWD again. So if we do get SH-AWD and a stiffer chassis like the new CRV and a turbo powertrain, we might actually get a vehicle that avenges the 1G RDX's name.

All the 2nd Gen RDX folks are wishing for V-6 under the hood. I don't think the 3rd Gen RDX will be as sporty if there was a front heavy V-6. Sh-awd will help in the I-4 turbo or V-6 engine options; but, the I-4 turbo will make the RDX a little bit more balanced and give it more TQ if they bring back sh-awd (not that CR-V awd crap). I would even wait and see if that put in the the sport hybrid sh-awd powertrain in the 3rd Gen RDX if Acura sticks with CR-V awd set-up for the lower models.
I'm hoping for more aftermarket support with a sportier model because it nearly dried up to just rims and floor mats with the 2nd Gen RDX aftermarket support.

I also hear you on the piss poor afternarket support. It sucks because the 1G didn't sell nearly as well and yet it has WAY more support. If the 3G goes back to 1G roots and also still sells well the aftermarket support will be awesome!
