TPMS System Error

Hi. This is my first post, and I did a quick search of old posts before doing this... so please don't be mean!

A "Check TPMS System" light has been displaying on my dash for a few months now. I figured one (or more) of my sensors died, so I took it into a Discount Tire so they could diagnose them. As it turns out, all of the sensors are fine. It was explained to me that the computer in the car wasn't picking up the sensors, and it was likely a problem with the computer.

Has anyone else been down this road before? Can I swap out "the computer" myself and get it working? Any thoughts on what I might be able to do next? I'm fine with taking it into a shop if I really need to, but I'd much rather save myself some money if I can by doing things myself.

Thank you for your help.
