Looking for a tune

Hi Guys,

I'm fairly new to this forum and would like some info on tuning. I have a 2011 Acura RDX SH-AWD Tech and currently have the following mods:
- Flashpro
- RV6 Downpipe with high flow cat
- ETS Intercooler

I'm looking to get the following installed and tuned but am out of luck getting the VIT e-tune since they aren't accepting any new customers. I'd like to get a cold air intake (K&N) but am unable to find someone to make me a 3.5 inch housing for the MAF sensor.

Rywire Injector Jumper Harnesses, 2007-12 Acura RDX
DeatschWerks 800cc Fuel Injectors, Set of 4, Honda K-Series (K20A/K20Z/K24A), 21U-01-0800-4

Anyone in Ontario (Mississauga area)?

I'm in the same boat as you are. I'm not sure why VIT stopped his tuning services nor have I contacted to find out.
I will post If I hear of another tuner. Anyone know why VIT stopped his tuning?

Vit longer Tunes hondata or ktuner products, he only tunes and develops packages for Motec. There is a package for your RDX though.

I bet that sucker goes well now. How much did that set you back KenB350z? Any reliability issues with it so far?

mistryp,

So I may have found an alternative tuner for the RDX. E-Tunez
They do have an entry on their site very similar to Vit Viper's and from what i have read Vit use to work for them.
I did not find too much information on them but seems like they have many raving reviews out there.

ECU Tuning for K-Pro, FlashPro and AccessPORT | E-Tunez

Their facebook profile and website all seem active and up to date, and they have been around since 2010.
I have not bought a tune from them yet, but plan too in the near future.

2007- 2012 Acura RDX Turbo - Tuning Packages | E-Tunez

Let me know what you think.

ljcolomacks,

thanks for the info! So, I emailed them on the contact us page and am waiting on a response now. I just asked if they could make a tune for me and what I would need to send them first, like a data log or something.

Good evening,

Let me know how it goes with that company. I will probably use them too. Why wait for the K&N you don’t need a custom maf housing to run it?

I ordered the Ultimate Tune from E-tunez along with some 800cc injectors . I'm only on my second revision but everything is going great so far. Customer Service is an A+ and RDX started first try with the larger injectors.
Steve's been tuning honda's for 10+ years and really knows what he is doing. Once I have some more revisions, i'll post some more info surrounding my experience. I highly recommend for anyone looking to tune their RDX!!

Originally I just had the Hondata Reflash done to the ECU, which did make a difference. Now I'm running RV6 Downpipe, ETS Intercooler, and 800cc injectors. I'm only on the 2nd revision of the tune so there is lots more altering to be done. It's a huge increase in performance over the stock car. I'm currently running 91 but if you have access to 93 or e85 you'd see even more power.

So to answer your question, it's extremely peppy and hauls for an SUV. Especially over the stock car. I'm really debating on e85 since it is available in my area.

For the 800cc DW's i didn't need to upgrade the fuel pump. But I'm not sure about the 1050's. Great question for you mechanic or Steve at Etunez.
